X1800 Upgrade now?

I have an ATI X1800XT currently, and was wondering if I should complete the crossfire setup. Not many places sell the x1800 master card, only place I could find is here for 300 bux. So my question is should I pony up the money or put it in another video card. Thanks.

I'd hold off, come up with another ~ $66 USD and buy this EVGA 8800 GTS 640 MB for $366.12 (including shipping).

No need to get a mobo yet though. The 8800gts will smoke a x1800xt crossfire setup. Pick up the card like he suggested and sell the x1800xt for... what is it worth now... $110?

or buy the new x2900xt 512MB which is just as good as the 8800gts? and u get 3 games with it! for around 370 bux

What he said. That particular EVGA is only $330 after rebate, and it would outperform crossfired x1800xt's.

might want to make a little upgrade in the cpu department along with youre gpu(and overclock it)

the 8800gts would still be bottlenecked but not as much as a singlecore

Thanks for the help guys, looks like I will have to upgrade my rig for an intel/nvidea setup. About time too, almost 2 years with my rig.
