X1600, X1800 gpu client

/me has been waiting on the same thing.

More the 1600/1650 stuff than the 1800 though.

can nVidia cards use the GPU client? I've found no definitive answer so just a quick one here, I read the 8800 can but have heard nothing on the 7x00 series.

Im using it but I dont know how to check my times. :p

I think they said the 7xxx series doesnt have enough pipelines or something.

Not at this time. The 7x00 it out of the question from what I have read. The 8800 would be the bare minimum if and when it happens. They are still working on getting things to work on the nvidia cards.

thanks a lot. I folded a few years back and for some reason or another i don't remember exactly but I stopped, but now i've come back to putting in whatever i can on this machine because it's a great cause and i'll be sure to install the client on my computers at home when i'm there.

I've got an x1800 to try it on, but it happens to be in my [H]Bowl boxen and I reallly don't want to mess with it unless I have a bye week !

You need to look in the FAHlog.txt file.
As it uses a different file format EMIII cannot monitor it.
Points per Day = 4,752 / Frame time in mins.
Mines 4,752 / 5.97 = 796 PpD ....... :D

Luck .............. :D

Someone...anyone? Info on x16xx cards would be helpful to me in the next few hours.

Frame times are 16:02 roughly.
That's 296 PPD (a work unit in 26.6 hours).
Is that the 1800 in your sig? Are you only running the GPU folding client?

Thanks for the info. :)

Yeah it's on my x1800xt. It usually completes a 25000frame wu plus some more in a day.
