Is the x1400 ATI for the laptops a good video card... gaming wise what is it's capabilites? i'm thinking of getting a e1505 or e1705
 
From what I've been able to dig up about it, it is an x1300 variant, probably with higher clock speeds. I'd say look up reviews for the mobility x1300, then add maybe %20 more performance to get a good idea.
 
It's a fair card. Runs WoW and Source games quite well (well, better than the average laptop). If you lower the resolution or eye candy (shadows, especially), it can run BF2 easily. Sadly, games like F.E.A.R. and Doom III engine games eat it up and spit it out.
