This case is not out yet so I had to take the stuff down....stop bugging Apevia! You got me in trouble :(

it should be an alright case as long as the power supply isnt as crap as the other ones, and they better not make the panels as flimsy as paper again lol

same case, new face, gay.

We need some newly designed cases, not just everyone ripping off the original xqpack chassis or the sg01 chassis.

looks good, a lot better then the original that is for sure.....what what it will cost.

haha dillusion,

Better save up money and hope for a new Qmicra or something :p

From those pics looks like they only changed the front bezel and handle and everything is exactly the same (PSU aside). Kinda lame to call it version 2. As for the design, I guess I would find it appealing if I was 15. Sadly, that was 15 years ago.

Ouch.

I didn't find that kind of design cool when I was 15 nor do I now... I've always been a Lian-Li type of guy. It's nice that they got rid of the flimsy handle though. IMO that only detracted from what could have been a more uniform front fascia.

But Lian Li wasn't around 15 years ago, and not many 15 year olds can afford a Lian Li anyway.

P.S: I have a Lian Li. :D

Also they mention the QPack 2 is an inch longer, same length as microfly.

Blingy tasteless bezel and zero innovation. Oh well if its cheaper and maybe if the PSU isn't junk it will have some value.

I can't be 100% sure but by the look of those pictures it appears as though its a 1 piece cover. I could be wrong, frequently I am actually.

I don't know either but from the sound of the flyer I got it sounds like a 1 piece

So they made it into a Microfly with a steel handle. Hope it is recessed or it will be useless. Nice looking front, but mesh = noise. At least the mesh coverage looks pretty minimal. I would still prefer a Microfly, but it's a small improvement, maybe a slightly better fascia than the MF.

I agree with D, though. Internals are what they need to work on...

I dunno...I think I like the look of the first one more. Maybe once I actually get to see one up close I'll change my mind but not likely. I built an SFF for my girlfriend with the qpack, and I actually grew to really like it. The handle has worked out great for her going to and from school and to the occasional LAN party we have.

The Qpack already had pretty good cooling for a mATX, and now they're adding an 80mm front intake fan.

The specs for the PSU sound pretty good as well (standard ATX, 500W, more leads). Here's to hoping it isn't made by Young Year. ;)

Yawn.... More of the same. I made a series of comments in another thread about the absolute lack of innovation in the SFF cases. I think this case further proves my point.

I do not know why it is so hard to find a good SFF case that has a decent balance of quality, functionality and aesthetics. I am dying to replace the towers in my home office with something smaller and the choices are just too limited. Seems like the SFF cases fall into two categories: cheap flimsy Asian crap or ghetto fugly.

The only SFF case that gets me excited in the Sugo SG01. Looks like I will need to come up with cash for three of them.

Your girlfriend goes to LAN parties?

They are on sale you know...like 106 at my store.

at least the power supply looks like its got enough juice on the +12v lines to run a decent video card... providing it doesnt crap out like the ones in the first qpack lol

It's cause I got in trouble for having it up. Too many people emailed Apevia  So stop emailing them!
Well, what did you expect, you waltzed in here with the news as if the thing was already out, you can't really blame anyone for emailing them.

When I put my qpack together, I got a nasty cut from somewhere and bled all over the place...sometimes it's the little things that count :-P

It'd be nice if the sheet metal were 2mil thicker so it doesn't flex as much inside too.
Good to hear it's an inch longer like the Microfly. No more futzing w/ the short DVD drives :)
Did they modify the right side to support two more vertical hard drives?

Yes I can blame everyone :) considering it said "due out in April"

That happened to me too...its not out yet so no idea on the inside...probably not though.

Lol. This thread is funny. You don't have to like the chassis, just know that I put a lot of work into doing the user's manuals... I mean, I'm not even a graphic artist! :D

NO! I shot the Sheriff, but I didn't shot the deputy.
Anyway, I apologize for digging up ol' bones.
