I'm picking up some Logitech Z-5500 Speakers soon and I keep reading that for games, you should be using the analog minijack connections with the three cables instead of going digital since the X-Fi apparently can't mix them into a digital connection or something.
Battlefield 2
So if I go analog, will DTS or Dolby Digital encoded DVDs be at any disadvantage besides a lower quality analog signal? Will all 5.1 channels be discreet as if they were hooked up digitally?
Also, anyone using speaker stands with the Z-5500? I read that if you take the little stand/foot off, the warranty is void because some nut comes off from the inside.
