X-fi vs. Audigy 4

Need a new soundcard for a new build and am looking at the new Audigy cards. What is the difference between the X-fi and the Audigy 4? Both seem to have the virtual surround sound capability (forget what the acronym is) for MP3 files. My understanding is that technology is the big change from the Audigy 2 series, which I am familiar with.
 
An Audigy 4 *is* an Audigy 2, with newer drivers. Same chip, same DACs, etc (unless you are looking at the Audigy 4 Pro - it has better DACs).

X-Fi is something completely new - read the review of it at Anandtech and Guru3d for details.
 
Just because they sell itm meaning their is leftover stock does not mean they still make it.


You can still buy New 1G Ipods, but they no longer make them.
 
Why does it matter if they make it or not lol

Im sure there's tons of them out there don't get me wrong but, creative just released X-Fi so they have to make them now.
