so i was experimenting with the different modes today and i noticed when running the demo for nfs:mw in the gaming mode, the bass was getting distorted. so i quit the game, switched the mode to entertainment and went beck to the game. the bass wans't distorted at all and it actually sounded better. so my question to u x-fi users out there, what mode do u use for gaming?
 
I use game mode. Sometimes when switching between modes something will get messed up so you need to switch it back and fourth a couple of times. In my experience anyway.
 
Sounds like creatives wonderfully reliable software strikes again.sheesh. I was just about to buy an X-Fi but this is disheartening.

no, dont take this thread the wrong way. I LOVE the x-fi, especially in games. this is the first time that i had a problem with it. there is almost too much settings to mess with. ill figure it out.
