Just got this thing today. Uninstalled my Recon3D drivers and used Driver Sweeper. Downloaded the latest Daniel_K drivers, rebooted with the Titanium HD installed, Daniel_K driver said it couldn't find the device. I installed the CD drivers and they worked perfectly. Updated to the latest Creative Beta driver with Win7 support. Everything is working fine thus far without issue, on 64 bit Windows. Games are running fine, music is playing without any issues. What's the big deal? I read so many threads on how people were pissed about Creative lacking support for 64 bit Windows, and how the Daniel_K drivers were a savior to all the people out there with Creative cards. Yet, I can't install his drivers, but the Creative drivers work perfectly without issue for me. I don't get it.
 
Shrug, I've always used the Creative drivers, never had any major problems.
 
Yeah. Using some random guy's custom made drivers seems like something you should only do if you have no other options. Never had problems with creative drivers myself. I just didn't need much of the software that is bundled with it, that's all.
 
Glad to know I'm not the only one who thinks the Creative drivers are perfectly capable and work just fine.

The Daniel_K drivers screwed up my Titanium Pro pretty badly, couldn't even uninstall them afterwards. All of Creatives latest W7 drivers seem to be working fine for me, haven't had any issues on my new rig or previous. Although I can never properly install Creative drivers, I always have to extract the .exe and run the setup manually from a directory else I get missing file errors.

Hell even Windows 7 detects my X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro and automatically installs the proper Creative drivers for me, all I needed to download was the Creative Console and DTS drivers.
 
Yeah it was funny. I uninstalled my Recon3d and plugged the Titanium HD up, booted in, and I had sound even though it only recognized it as "High Definition Audio Device" -- which suprised me after all the complaints I read about X-Fi cards and W7 64bit.

Titanium HD was at least updated on the software and hardware side to work fine in 7x64. I'm not too sure about the older xfi cards.

I have the X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro and it installed the Creative Soundblaster drivers and the Creative Control Panel. Showed up as Creative SB in sound panel on W7.

Yeah mine shows up as Creative SB X-Fi now, but prior to installing any drivers, upon my first boot into Windows with the card plugged in the PCI-E slot, the sound still worked and it just showed up as High Definition Audio Device. It surprised me that the sound worked with just native Windows drivers, though.
 
My X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Pro has yet to have any problems, but I am using XP Home.

My X-Fi Titanium on Vista 64 H.P. has had some weird reverb distortion that was during random times, but that might have been due to its P.C.'s motherboard's Spread Spectrum that was as being disabled.

I've checked several times and Daniel_K never made a driver for the Titanium HD.

A lot of people haven't had issues with Creative drivers; however, some do run into issues.

Oh....his driver just said "X-Fi Titanium line" -- I assumed that included the HD. Guess it makes sense as to why installing his drivers said "device not detected." :D
