In the Rainbow Six demo I downloaded today I can hear a faint static popping noise at times in the game. I notice it occasionally in BF2 as well. Anyone know how to fix this?
There is a HUGE thread about this on the Creative forums. The X-Fis have a problem with this. Just about all the testing you can think of has been done, its a driver/hardware issue. Creative just loves to sell $300 sound cards that have big problems.
Turn off the 24-bit Crystalizer and in BF2 turn down the audio settings from UltraHigh to High.
