Just wondering if the Auzentech X-Fi Prelude will utilize the system CPU at all when using Dolby Digital Live. Anyone seen reviews of the prelude since the new DDL drivers came out for it?

thanks!

The reason T'm asking is that the Intel HD Audio codec (yea i know it's onboard and therefore software) supports DDL. However, when you enable DDL and play a music file, game etc; CPU usage spikes would hit 25% or thereabouts, from what i remember.

Just wondering if the prelude will do that also... if anyone can verify that cpu usage stays low with DDL enabled, that'd be awesome.

You would have to give me a bit for games (it's not noticeable for me), but for music it's ~1%.

1% on music? excellent... i guess it is a true hardware solution then. gonna be ordering one soon.
