I am having some issues with a sound blaster x-fi platinum card on windows 7 x64. With the default windows drivers it works fine until the machine is rebooted. It then stops working. Tried the creative drivers and they don't want to work at all. Any ideas?

This is on a custom built PC. This same card worked for months with no problem, then all of a sudden no audio with the creative drivers. I uninstalled the device, made sure it was seated properly, booted into windows and it worked flawlessly. Then the computer was restarted and it stopped working. tried Creative drivers and it didn't help.
