X-Fi + Headphone trouble

Ok, so i just got the X-Fi extreme music..now i dont know where to plug my headphones in...the microphone port in front of my case no longer works...and none of the four holes on the card work...am i destined to go USB for phones now? pls help fellas...you always do =)
 
Either plug them into your speakers headphone jack or directly into the front channel output connector on the back of the sound card.

Did you happen to read the X-Fi manual?

The ports on the fron of your case are connected to the integrated sound on your motherboard that you disabled when you installed the X-Fi (you did disable in BIOS prior to installing; I hope).
 
Well you have a cpl options. You can do as prev poster mentioned and use headphone jack on your speakers, if they have one or one of a cpl other things. If the card is new easiest thing might be to take it back/exchange it for the plat version which comes with a front drive so you have the jack handy. The other 2 options are a plan 1/8th splitter but then if want speakers muted you will have to turn off the speakers manually or pick up something like the Pod device Radioshack sells. With it you plug in both hedphones and front speakers and just flip a switch as to which item you want active. You might also check at the CL forums. Maybe by now someone has figured out the pin assignments so you can reroute the case jack to the right pins on the card.
