X-Fi Fatal1ty Professional and Digital I/O

I have a mini-SPDIF to SPDIF cable plugged into the back of the sound card, a Creative X-Fi Fatal1ty Professional Series, in the digital slot but there is no audio and my speakers, Logitech Z-680 (precursor to the Z-5500) say "No Digital Data"

The same cable plugged into my MacBook's headphone out port causes the Mac to go into "Digital" mode, and my speakers with their cool digital decoder produce beautiful 5.1 audio.

There is no red light coming out of the Digital I/O port on the X-Fi, there was once but that was many driver updates ago

Please help me get Digital audio!

I downgraded to earlier drivers and that did nothing...

You'll neet to set the FlexiJack mode to Digital I/O instead of Mic-In / Line-In.

The setting is already set to that... there is just no output.

And there is no red light either, which is weird because I definitely remember seeing a red light coming out of the FlexiJack before.
