X-fi + Edifier S550 Crossover Issue

Sorry, got no real advice for you. What you need is the ability to set different crossovers on different speakers. However the X-Fi can't do that, and if your speakers can't then you are SOL. Any good receiver can do it, but of course a good receiver will cost you more than your speakers, and I don't know that they'd work with it (most computers speakers aren't designed to work with a receiver).

Sounds like a shitty design on their part and there is just little to be done. All channels should be crossed over on any satellite speaker set. Heck it is even a good idea with big speakers. I cross my towers over to my sub at 60Hz.
