Is it feasible to enable my onboard audio and use that for a mic in while using my X-fi for audio out? Seems like a half-assed solution to Creatives feet dragging, but if that's the next best way of being able to talk on a mic while gaming in Vista 64, I'll do it. I'm not interested in one of those logitech USB desk mics, I sit too far away from where one would stand, I only like headsets with mics.

Doesn't seem like a problem. Just make sure you set your audio devices correctly in the sound control panel.

Yes Velbac even tho it was made to use your onboard with the stuff from your XFI, you can also use it to output to two difffent sources. like pair of headphones and a pair of speakers without having to plug them out.

It should beable to let you use the mic on the other card and what not.

Sweet, it works pretty ok. I Installed the latest SoundMax drivers from ASUS, dunno if I needed to do that just for the mic, but I'm impressed by the software. Too bad Creative is too small of a company to put any resources into some polished Vista software. I couldn't get the speaker out to work right, not sure what the issue is, but since I want to use the X-Fi for audio anyway, I'm not going to spend time trying to fix it.
