I recently got a Sennheiser PC 160 and I love the sound.
Problem is, nobody can hear me on any voice program. The mic is fine because when I turn up the mic volume on the front panel, I can hear myself good.
I'm using an X-Fi fatal1ty and have the headphone jack plugged into the front panel and I have the mic jack plugged into the front "Line-in 2/Mic 2" jack.
I go to Control Panel>Sounds and audio Devices>Voice (the default devices are all on the X-Fi) and I'll run the "Test Hardware" option. When it gets to the actual test the mic phase, the checkbox on the recording control window will automatically switch to "Microphone" from where it actually needs to be (Line-in 2/Mic 2).
If I manually switch it back, the test comes out fine (there is sound I hear from the mic) and it seems it works.
It doesn't. I still can't be heard in programs.Even if I switch it manually as I'm trying to use one.
There's GOT to be someone that has a PC 160 and an X-Fi and is able to use it.
Google hasn't helped. The teamspeak forums basically have me doing what I've been doing.
Anyone have an idea? Thanks for your time.
