wyse terminal and RDP

So, we have our setup now where we log in through our Avocent KVM System through WYSE terminals RDP through our terminal server.

I have a couple questions.

Can I set up so that they have to input a user name and password to connect to the terminal server?

Do I need an Active Directory for this or can I use gpedit?

Ok, I figured this out. I had to set the user up with "Remote Desktop Users" group. Also, in gpedit, under Computer Configurations -> Security Policies -> Local Policies -. User Rights Assignment -> Allow log on through Terminal Services add the user(s) you want to allow log in.
