sorry i had no idea where this would belong...so i guessed... anyways i remember seeing somehwere some of you guys talkin about how great a certain chair is...i think it was like metal and very simple looking chair not even on wheels or anything... i need a nice chair for a college dorm that is really good for ur back, im a tall guy(6'4) and the garbage they give me is killing me...so if anyone knows of that cool chair u guys were talking about...im open to any ideas...if not than ill just go to staples and get a wheeling chair that has a huge back to it...

i Enjoy the floor quite a bit actully...

lol, no im kidding, honestly im just going to have to tell you that everyone is diffrent, and you should really just go to a store and make many ass prints on chairs to see which one suites you the best...I did it...hehe

Herman Miller stuff is nice, but pricy. A loaded Aeron is $800+ they have a chair called the Mirra which is about as comfortable and is loaded for $500 or so.

OfficeMax and the other office supply stores have different styles of Aeron knockoffs for $150 or less on sale.

Wal-mart and Office Max have sales on 'pleather' executive chairs almost weekly. You can get a decent one for $70 -$100. Obviously not as nice as the ones Xeese is recommending, but if cash is an issue one of these will work. I've had mine all through college. It's 5 years old now and still comfortable.

You could also try IKEA. I got me a nice pleather executive chair called the ALLAK for about $70 with tax.

I'm a former chair engineer from Steelcase Inc. Their 453 Criterion is an excellent all around chair for extended periods of time in front of your computer or behind your desk.

The problem with the Herman Miller Aeron chair is the material they use for the seat/back is very abrasive on your clothes. Something to keep in mind.

Agreement on the Aeron being abrasive. I think the Mirra is a different material - at least on the back. The other drawbacks are if you fart it won't muffle or filter the sound. On the plus side, the ventilation keeps the boys comfortable.
