Wut about my specs?

hie people. I will purchase XPS m1210 soon.
And. I just want to ask if my specs are good enough for my work (microsoft office, internet, emails, webcam etc.) and some light gaming (not too high end like F.E.A.R! but more like c&c generals, n hopefully DOOM3)

core 2 duo 2ghz
1g ddr2 sdram (i dun intend to spend on ram cuz it's very costly)
1.3 megapixel wecam (duh!)
N a dedicated graphics card.
Any other recommended suggestions??

I certainly don't want my laptop to crawl/lag/hang/restart or whateva. I already had experience these with NEC. So, i hope to get a real good afordable laptop. Thanks people.

I have a similarly spec’d M1210 and my system plain rocks when in Windows. Everything is super fast and the battery life is awesome!

As for gaming, I have a nVidia 7400 and I can play WoW and BF2 at native resolution (1280x800) without breaking a sweat. Of course you’re not going to be able to run all the eye candy, but I’m quite pleased with the performance.

I would at least get the 1Gb of RAM in a single stick so when you go to upgrade it you can just drop in another 1Gb stick for pretty cheap.

Unless the laptop's dual channel, drop down to 1x512 from dell, and add a 1x1024 from newegg for about the same price dell'd charge for a 2nd 512.
