I have a Q9300 that I don't really need as I don't have a single muti-threaded app that uses 4 cores. So I have decided to go with a dual core with a higher speed. The Q9300 is at 3ghz right now because I only have 800mhz ram. It should go higher as the temp idles anywhere from 35-42 depending on the weather. I have also never seen the temp go past 58 under load.
I would like to trade for an 8600, but I will entertain offers for an 8500 or 8400.
