wth is on my lcd?

WTH is this on my laptop lcd? I just noticed it today and I can't get it off not even with a wet cleaning cloth. It doesn't show up in a screenshot thus why I took a pic with my cell phone.

Was it subjected to any temperature extremes lately? To be honest it's kind of hard to tell based on the pics you linked, but if it won't clean off or change "censistency" with a damp cloth, I don't have any idea.... bummer....

I don't believe the screen has been exposed to extreme temps but I have been using the laptop as a desktop replacement sort of thing as it's been on for days. It has fell off the arm of my couch 2-3 times since I have had it for about a month now. There's no texture to it on the screen as well. I don't think my roommates would be that f'd up to mark on my screen as I haven't done anything to piss them off.
