so my chipset temp is uncomfortably high at 70ºC at idle, its a passive heatsink. performance is stable at the current temps, but I'm a little nervous about it regaurdless. so i figure i'll replace it with an aftermarket HSF, no problem. i open up the side of the case and for the first time i realize that the current heatsink sits right underneath the damn video card... what genius came up it with this? you can fit a sheet of paper inbetween the current heatsink and the video card (all in sig) but just barely. I've measured and remeasured; there is 14mm (13.75mm is prolly closer) between the mainboard and the video card. i'm stumped as to how in the hell i'm suppose to get this puppy cool. suggestions?
