WTB:

I am trying to acquire a copy of the Korean-published book "Starcraft English." You may not have heard of it, as it is nonexistent in Western etailers, let alone B&M stores. I can only find it on Korean etailer websites, and google translate is useless.

Thus I am asking to buy it off of a [H] member who may have a copy. Failing that, I am also willing to buy it off of a [H] member that can read Korean fluently and actually aquire a copy. The prices I see on Korean etailers is usually 13,600 Won or about $13 USD before shipping. I will happily pay you well over that, as I consider this a collector's item for a fine game.

My heat is under Highwind. I use paypal and amazon payments (preferably the former, but something about beggars and choosers...).
Given the strange circumstances of this book, it is needless to say that this deal would need a great deal of mutual trust.

PM me to discuss.

or if someone wants to just translate one of the many Korean etailers' checkout pages so I could know what I'm filling in, that'd work as well

also thanks for the luck bump. i've been trying to get ahold of this thing, on and off, for a few years. and by trying I mean thinking about it

bump for awesome game.

do you have korean SC2 account by any chancE? i been trying to get one, but so hard. You need to live in korea, have ssn or cell phone from there. After a while, game style in US servers get boring :)

You should have asked last year, when I was still living in S.Korea. I'm not anymore.I actually used a friend's ID# while I was there to play Aion.

Anyways, good luck with the search.

Bump.

I received a skype invitation from an unknown person with the message "about the korean account". Guy if you're out there... I don't know who you are; if it's about this thread, an unknown skype invo isn't really the most legitimate way to make first contact... no offense.

Bump,good luck with your search.

I spent a year in korea and didn't really realize just how popular Starcraft is over there. They have matches going on TV like any other sport would be like in the US.

Despite April Fool's day coming up, I am still serious about wanting this.

Thank you for the effort and for the bump (bump). Gives me hope that I'll get ahold of this one day.

3 week bump - still ain't giving up

edits/notes- since i cant bump yet
-J Macker -thanks for the wishes
-Ruoh -i actually do the hover-over to see the url... i've gotten stuff into the cart before, but the images that are not hyperlinks (yet contain korean text), I can't even scratch the surface of those.
and don't get me started on filling out the shipping/billing forms... last thing I want is to screw THAT up and get nothing or have to deal with customer support... in Korean.

-still cant bump. lol at edit conversation. Ruoh, I'll certainly give that a shot; not sure why I didn't think to do that, but thank you.

So, here goes. When I'm ordering things off foreign sites, I take a look at what the url for the graphic I'm hovering over is. It's pretty easy to see what will add the book to the basket. I'm going to try and order it off a KR site right now, and see what happens.
Yeah, getting it added to the cart, and filling out my info isn't a problem. Taken a payment is the issue, as far as I can tell. Why don't you see if you can contact sales@kyobobook.co.kr and see if they have an english speaker on staff that can help.
