WTB socket FM2 CPU A8-5500

Bump someone has one laying around
an A10-5700 would also work- it's 65W. I'd prefer to stay away from the 100W FM2 CPUs.

Boards which take 5000 series chips should also take 6000 series chips, but may require a BIOS update. I'd recommend the A8-6500, which is about 5-10% faster than the previous gen, has a better IGP and is 65W.

Not my listing, but available on Ebay for $20

Avoid using the stock cooler whenever possible, they're absolutely atrocious. An old Socket 939 blowdown heatpipe cooler works really well, something like this:

If you can find them cheaper. AM2 can use 939, 940, AM2, AM3 and AM4 heatsinks which use the two clip design.

Thanks for posting, but I'm not flashing a bios, or changing any coolers. The stock cooler works fine. This is her work computer, and I just want to change her PC from a 2 core to a 4 core. I only want one of hte 2 cpus listed. Nothing else will be changed.

Thank you.
