Looking for a printer for business that can scan, print very quickly with great colors & will last without any issues. Also need a printer that has auto feed scanner and allows you to put multiple pages and it automatically scans them and saves to your pc. Also want it to be wireless so I do not need to run wires to the pc since it will be far from the pc.
Appreciate the help!

No printer will last without any issues, I have been through every company I can think of they all burn up, they all suck.

Budget would be whatever is best bang for money. Rudy that's not true. I own a canon mx700 printer which I left at my parents home and it's still working as if it was brand new and its well over 5 yrs old. Just looking for reliable printer that has proven results and many positive reviews.

I have been through 2 canon printers. If you had a good experience then buy another canon. How will you measure proven results? Just a bunch of anecdotes?

still have an old 6 year old epson that is printing strong.

they don't make them like they used to...

I was thinking of going with an Epson workforce but not sure if there is something better....Epson WorkForce WF-3620 or the HP OfficeJet Pro 8620

the HP OfficeJet Pro 8620......got 8610 been ok so far....the only thing I saw in Reviews was the ink is a bit Pricey..........so if your doing alot of Printing...got to factor that in..IMO

What about theCanon PIXMA MX922 Wireless Color ? The hp is priced a bit higher than the rest not sure what the price difference is for. I won't be printing alot. Just on occasion so...

I've got the Epson 3640 (same as 3620, just doesn't include the extra 250 sheet paper tray) and I've been happy with it.

"without any issues" or "wireless", Pick one.

Wireless and printers are a potential recipe for disaster. Personally i'd suggest using an ethernet cable though even that can cause fun times with the remote scanning stuff.

If you want it to scan without any user intervention at the computer, you are going to need to get one that does scan to network.

You will also want to go with a laser printer as it is a total and complete waste to go with anything that uses ink, especially in an office environment.

And yes, wireless is not a good idea. You will most likely be fighting with it all the time.

We need an actual budget and usage details so we can recommend one.

What size(s) of paper do you need to print to?

Do you need double sided printing?

Do you need double sided scanning?

What is the approximate number of pages printed per month? Color/B&W ratio?

What is the absolute max that you are willing to spend?

OfficeJet 8620 but get a three year contract on it, and HP will overnight you a new one when it breaks.

Ink on the unit is expensive, but its faster than a M276 and if you want a "good" color laser your going to be up into the M476 which can get expensive.

This is just based off a general guess, but if you can answer cyclone3d that would really help nail down a product.

Whatever is the best bang for your money. I don't want ti go much higher than 120.
Just regular size paper for the most part.

Do you need double sided printing? It would be nice and save on paper but not a make it or break it

Do you need double sided scanning? Def want this. I do alot of scanning for business. I Def want an auto feed scanner bc mostly what I do is scan documents to pc for backups.

What is the approximate number of pages printed per month? Color/B&W ratio? I honestly don't do a ton of printing it's mostly scanning to pc is what I do alot of.

What is the absolute max that you are willing to spend? 130$
So wireless or printing from your phone is really that bad if your connected to wifi via router or if possible directly to router?

Appreciate the help guys.

Not going to get much for even $130.. Even a good stand-alone scanner is going to cost way more than that.

If you go inkjet, you are going to be spending a ton on ink.. and if you don't print much you will have to deal with dried out ink and clogged print heads.

A laserjet printer doesn't have those two problems.

And while they cost more upfront, if you get one that works well with aftermarket toner (pretty much just about every brand except XEROX), then you can save a ton on toner.

Check aftermarket toner prices as well as toner refill kit prices on Ebay.

If you get a color laserjet printer that you can refill the carts yourself, you can save around 80%+ on toner.

Basically your choices are:

1. Cheap out upfront and get a piece of trash that is really expensive per page and will not last.

2. Buy a more expensive good printer up front and save a ton on toner and have something that will last.

Even on a really good sale, you are looking at around $400+ to get something that will do everything you want it to do and hold up.

What is the printing speed you are looking for?

Here is a prime example of spending more up front in order to save way more in the long run.

AIO Brother 9340CDW that does duplex printing and scanning. $390 on sale.

Toner refill it from Ebay for all 4 colors (~6000 page yield) - $44

By the time you spend enough to do that many pages on a cheap inkjet AIO, you would have paid for the Brother unit more than a few times.

I've always owned inkjets and never had any major issue. Stool own a canon mx700 that's going 8 years...just want something with similar reliability..

Pretty much any Brother should do that.

I was looking for something that had the features you wanted and would save you money in the long run.

Here is a Canon AIO Inkjet that does duplex scanning... but does not do duplex printing - not going to find that on any inkjet as it would have problems with the ink not being dry in order to print on the other side as well as bleedthrough problems.

It is on sale for $199.

After having to deal with a bunch of low end HP color laserjet printers where I work and with other peoples stuff that I have worked on, my conclusion is that you just need to suck it up and spend the money for something good that will last and do what you want it to instead of trying to cheap out on something that you will regret buying later.

That canon you posted is wireless. I thought that was a big no no? As I stated earlier in the thread the Canon mx700 I've owned over 8 years has done what I need. All I need is something that will do the same, maybe scan faster. .

You don't have to use the wireless. It has USB and Ethernet ports as well.

I paid $600 for a dell laser color printer with a high volume rating. I also bought the 4 years on site warranty. In 1 year a guy had to come replace half the parts in it. Prior to that we had a brother laser printer which was a constant hassle. Paying more didn't really buy us any extra reliability.

Good point Rudy. My old trusty canon mx700 was 120 8 yrs ago and still does everything I need. That's all I'm asking for!
