I'm looking to buy a Palomino XP processor... I want to upgrade one of my extra computers, I didn't realize the A7V133 supported speeds this high, I also have a 900mhz athlon for partial trade if anyone wants it.

also have a few routers to trade, linksys one port routers, one brand new in box. two used and open.

thanks

I've got a 1600+ that I'm almost positive is a Palomino. If you're interested, I can check it when I go home for Thanksgiving. I'll sell it for $35 shipped. Let me know.

i'd take like $15 or so for it, but i need to find a replacement first.

cool, send me a pm if you're still interested in selling it once you find a replacement :)

the a7v133 will take tbred as well, but nothing over 2000+ as it only supports multis up to 12.5

i know, i have tried it. my board rev. is 1.05

yeah i know i have the same revision..... bump

well, why do you want a palo? theyre hotter and fairly less common, meaning a bit more expensive... thought the tbred idea would save ya a few bucks :)

according to asus' website the board will accept up to a 1.4 Tbird and up to a 2100+ XP chip, with palomino core... i was just wanting to max out the board.... instead of buying something that doesn't use it's potential.

so what would you recommend i get?

I've got a 1600+ paly laying around. Only thing is I'm going out of town in the morning so I won't be able to get it out until Friday or Saturday at the earliest. I'll let it go for $25 shipped, let me know.

i know the asus site says the max is a palo, but i have a 2000 tbred here in anohter system and i tested it in my a7v133 and it worked just fine, so i thought id share.. im not sure if they 2100+ tbred would work, i dont know its multi.. but i do know that tbred cores are compatable witht eh board.

note: im talking about tbred, not tbird
