My wife's nephew told me he wants to buy a computer. He is only 10 so I'm seeing what is out there used. I'd like at least some kind of quad core Ryzen or Intel equivalent with appropriate motherboard. I'd like 16gb of RAM.

How old of hardware?

I've got an ole 2500K and AsRock motherboard. Don't have a 16 gig set of memory for it though.
