Just like the title says I'm looking for a sub-$500 notebook/laptop for music recording use.

Minimum specs:

Preferably with:
Dual Core
2GB RAM
DVD burner

PM me or email me at alan_bui(at)hotmail.com with offers.

i've got a compaq F761us with 3gb ddr2, I could sell it for $500 + shipping. I bought it new 5 months ago, haven't used it much. lemme know!

I've got a Gateway MX3414 that I am letting go for $450 + shipping from Canada T9M 2C2. Comes with Windows XP Pro if requested (Fresh Install & Updated).

14.1" TFT @ 1280X800
AMD Turion-64 X2 TL-50 1.6Ghz
1GB DDR2-533
120GB 5400rpm HDD
802.11G built in
8x DVD+-RW Drive
4in1 Card Reader
128MB Geforce-Go 6100m
10/100 LAN
3x USB 2.0 ports
VGA Output
VERY LIGHT!!

I will also include the CaseLogic gel sleeve that I use. And of course, the power adapter.

LCD is MINT! There is minor wear down by the touch-pad, nothing serious. Let me know if you would like pics.
