I think I have what I need. Thanks everyone.

Looking to create a storage target for my home lab using TrueNAS. The more sata ports the better. Need processor, cooler, motherboard, RAM. 8gb should be plenty for what I'm doing.

What is the min Sata ports? would you take the guts of an older complete PC?

I'd really like 4+ some onboard msata or something for the boot drive. But that's going to be hard to find I think. As long as it has a chance of fitting into the case I'm putting it in and is reasonably priced, I'll take any offers at this point.
