Looking for a E8400 that is not a dud. Looking for 100% stability at 3.8 ghz or higher. I have one that can do 3.6 and it is going to Ebay.

Heat under MUCHO

Thanks!

Off topic kind of but what vcore did you use at 3.6 and what did you try your vcore at for higher. My chip will do 4.140 at 1.440 volts.

I am using a Thermalright 120 Extreme and one one of the cores is stable up to 3.9 (didn't test higher) at 1.35 volts and I could not get the other core stable with 1.4 volts which was as high as I was willing to go ... for complete stability on both cores I need to run them at 3.6.

Kind of a waste of time and money but it bugs me to only run at 3.6 :D
