Looking for a Golden chip, preferably a 6700/6800 that will run 10x400
Or a 8400 <<<<<<<<

I already have a 6700 cpu that'll run 3.8Ghz. on Ultra 120 Ext.

Whats the fpo/batch of your E6700? I have an E6600 that did 4ghz Orthos stable on cold air ( using Ultra 120 ), Im looking for a high fsb E6700.... What exactly do you want to run at 4ghz? On regular ambient My e6600 can do spi 32M and 3dmark benches all day....

Look in the Intel database, there's only one c2D that can run orthos at 4ghz on air:D...
 
I'm looking for gaming at 4Ghz,. benching or Orthos is not my concern
so 3D stable

Most people wouldn't dare guarantee a processor to those speeds, and if they could, the price would be ridiculous.
 
My Xeon 3070 does 4.0ghz on water 24/7 with a forced 1066 strap on my QuadGT. I've never run it on air, so I can't say for sure it can do 4.0ghz on air.

Buy yourself a E8400 and overclock it to 4GHz easy. You'll probably get it at the same price or cheaper than a used E6700 @ 4GHz.
 
I picked up a E6700 from E-Bay just the other day and it runs 3.5 idle at 30 and low 50's with orthos. Nice chip. Almost as good as my E8400. Almost :D
