I'm looking for a Dell Latitude type laptop that's able to be docked into a docking station or port replicator for a small workstation that my wife will be using for photo editing.
Requirements:
- Compatible (or included) with a docking station
- Core 2 Duo if it has a lot of other factory options/upgrades or extras
- 4GBs of RAM with support up to 8GBs
- DVD-RW drive
- 1366x768 res (most work will be done on an external IPS monitor)
Preferred:
- i5 or faster CPU
- 1x (for easy/cheaper upgrade) or 2x 4GB (8GB total) DIMMs installed
- Smart Card reader for Common Access Cards (CAC)
- DVD-RW DL (not sure if most drives are DL burning capable)
- Bluetooth
Most Latitudes made in the last few years have these specs and I would prefer to have this model too since that's what I'm used to working on at my job, so I know what to expect with these machines and am comfortable with them.
Not listing a price range, so I'm open to all offers!
