Looking for a replacement GPU. Needs to be as close to free plus shipping as possible...

Only requirement is it has to have audio pass through via DVI or HDMI. Its going into a box used for streaming and media, by a local cause.

Anyways PM if you have something.

Heatware: jmilcher

I have some cheap video cards in my FS thread - if any of these work for you, LMK.

audio pass through via DVI

have i missed something?

Sounds crazy I know. My old GTX470 had audio pass through using a DVI to HDMI cable.

It is something some nvidia cards support. I do not know if they do anymore or if AMD ever did.

Some GTX260 models had a cable which could be bought to do audio from dvi to HDMI.

I had one at some point but can't remember what it was called.

Edited my post so I don't just randomly bump this, but here is a BFG GTX260 that I have that has a 2 pin connection next to the power connections. Essentially you would connect a SPDIF to 2 pin to this and it would passthrough audio using a DVI to HDMI cable. Not all models had this of course. Just pointing this out because a lot of people had no clue what that connection was. Sorry for going off topic on this some. But that's why I didn't bump the thread with this new info.

Cable for it: $2.45 shiped

I have a old GTX 280 that does not have this pass through. It also has a bad BIOS flash and I for the life of me cannot get it to work. I also do not have a floppy drive.

Anyways, bump still looking.....

Thanksfor the example. I will check that junk 280 and see if it has it. Its a evga. I would then need to flash the bios, but still thats cheaper than buying something...

But in the mean time, BUMP, in case someone has something cheap laying around, and more power efficient than the GTX280.

I have a bootleg GeForce GT440 I got from a shady Chinese website. It identifies itself as a GTX 760. $20.
