Hey guys,
I'm in charge of building a computer for a guy who does stuff using ProTools. I need the cheapest AMD 64 computer I can get, I'll put at least a GB of RAM in it, maybe two. I'll put at least a 160GB SATA in it.
1) Does anyone have something to sell me?
2) What parts to use to put this together? I was thinking on a Compaq w/AMD 3200 and just putting more RAM into it and a Firewire card. Would this work?
Thanks. - (For comparison, he is now using a Dual 1.8ghz Powermac G5 with only 256 RAM - I NEED SOMETHING AT LEAST AS FAST (or that seems as fast).)
