3500+ or higher Single or Dual Core S939 AMD Cpu-Heatsink/fan is not needed, but if it is a retail CPU I would prefer the retail HSF to be included
2x1GB DDR PC3500 or higher

I've got an OSA148DAA58N CABYE 0540FPBW Opteron 148 (retail, w/stock HSF) I'm looking to part with for $180 shipped. If you do a little poking around, you'll find that the stepping marks this chip as one of the originals that sparked the socket 939 Opteron craze. Let me know if you're interested.

before making a amd cpu purchase wait a couple weeks, prices are dropping like crazy


new 3500+s are under $100

I saw that thread about the prices dropping after conroe is released. I'm considering just selling the intel combo, and then selling this amd SFF machine that I have and building a conroe rig. Really all depends on the prices for the X6600/6700 and a decent mobo.
