I got a 24" Dell 1920x1200 LCD recently, and now I need this money for a 8800GTS 512. I no longer am able to buy the parts to upgrade this older computer.

Would a moderator please close this thread? Or someone report it?

Sorry all, it'd still be sweet to upgrade it but it will not work for right now.

i think it'd be cheaper to upgrade to AM2, there's a pretty good premium on those agp cards,
good luck though
im still running my old system, hoping to upgrade soon once i have the cash
P4 3.2ghz, 4x512mb ddr400, x1950pro 512mb agp card, so yeah, i'm at my limits
handles everything pretty max, except crysis, handles it @ medium. (1280x800 - 1680x1050) I will get rid of this old stuff some day..

I think this guy is right. From the looks of it the only thing that is staying the same is the mobo. You can get yourself a decent dual core am2/mobo combo for around $100. A budget 2gb ddr2 ram kit is running less than $50. And it will open up your video card options. Bump and good luck

I've got an eVGA 7800GS with the Fatal1ty Zalman cooler on it. I'd be willing to part with it for 130 (cooler and shipping included). It has been registered on eVGA's site though, just to let you know.

7800gt with arctic cooler foxconn 4 sata 939 matx mobo with opteron 148 135 shipped
