Well, I've kind of bet my wife I can go through 2005 without upgrading any of my PC components on either of our PCs. Yeah.

Anyway, to that end, I've been piling up on various things these last few days, but still some stuff I'm missing to get through the year! I'm pretty happy where my PC is (with parts on order, of course), but the wife's needs a few tweaks.

* AthlonXP Barton core. Speed doesn't really matter, it's to upgrade an AXP '2000+' with 256k cache. This isn't a terribly high priority item, and since you can buy a '2400+' Barton new for $69 shipped....

* 512mb (at least) or 1gb (preferred) of DDR ram. Type doesn't matter, just needs to be CL2 at 133FSB (DDR266). Offering $100 for 1gb or $55 for 512mb. Seeing as how I'd be happy with as little as 512mb CL2 PC2100, there should be LOTS of old ram laying around that meets this criteria!

Anyway, please feel free to bump this! At least, for the next couple days - no more upgrades for 2005 means I have to get this all wrapped up ASAP!

Heya, I got an AXP Barton 2500+ with a SK-7 heatsink and an 80mm fan. I'll sell it for $55 shipped. And I got 2X256 sticks of 2100 Crucial DDR ram that do CL2 at 145mhz(290 DDR total) completely stablee. I haven't tried higher because the motherboard I have has a fsb/memory clock ratio. And your price of $55 would be fine for the 512 megs of ram. PM me if you're interested

I'm going to bump this to see if I can't get any 512mb sticks. Only another day or so left, so any other bumps are appreciated.

Otherwise, I'll take travisw111's ram if I can't get any 512s.

EDIT: definitely interested in the CPU either way, though
