These aren't as good at dissipating heat as the 212's, but are designed for G34.

If you can wait a little bit, I'm working on adapting cheap 2U copper bricks that have high performance fans so they will do G34. They are 1207 originally.

These are the ones I'm going to test and do a tutorial on. You will need a drill and a hacksaw.

lm-sensors doesn't function on Tyan M4985 board at all. But at full scream with 137w chips, the copper is cool to the touch.

well theres this nice supermicro 2u case sitting on my desk, with a supermicro board, 4 chips from some company called "AMD" and a crap ton of ram... would be nice if I could get it crunching sooner rather than later

Do you have the clear plastic shroud that comes with the SM 2U?
If not, you don't want passive heatsinks as one CPU does not get enough airflow.

no, but I can make one out of cardboard or something, not worried about it, its going in a rack so noise is not an issue
