This is a good one.
At work I have a workstation that is using two monitors. One is connected via the VGA D-Sub and the other is connect via a DVI adapter to VGA D-Sub. No matter what I plug into the DVI/VGA adapter combo there is no Red data getting to the monitor.
I've tried replacing the adapter, and no dice same problem.
I've tried replacing the video card. Originally there was a VisionTek GeForce4 Ti4600 in there, I replaced that with another VisionTek GeForce4 Ti4600. Same thing. Then I replaced that with an ATi Radeon 9700 Pro. Again, the same thing happens. WTF? Could something on the motherboard (Asus P4T-E Deluxe i850 chipset) be causing this? A BIOS setting of some kind, maybe?!
Please give me any ideas you might have.
This is some of the craziest shit I've ever seen.
