Hi all,

I’d like to know the opinion of ws users about display resolutions.

I have a 19" crt and i use 1024x, 1280x seems too much for my eyes ;). At work I have a 17" tft and again I use 1024x. I'm going to buy a new display and the natural upgrade should be a 19" because its native resolution should be comfortable to me. 20" and 1600x seem too high.

Ws displays seem to be a good choice now but I don't know if the native resolution of 19" and 20" will be comfortable.

What’s your opinion? What size is better for a comfortable native resolution?

Thanks.

Ws displays seem to be a good choice and i don't know if the native resolution of 19" and 20" will be confortable for me. What can you say?

Thanks.

21" and 22" widescreens use the same resolutions as the 20" widescreens. Therefore, the 21" and 22" models have a larger pixel pitch and will display everything larger.

WS monitors really aren't worth it until they hit about 23-24 inches which coincidentally is the minimum for displaying any 1080p content at a native resolution. Most of the 27 inch monitors run at the same resolution as the 23-24 inch monitors so if you are blind, you can get one of those for larger pitch. But if you don't plan on getting 23 inches or bigger, WS is not worth it. If you are going from a 19 inch or 20 inch crt that is 4:3, you are actually going to lose screen real estate and vertical height.
