This router is new and is version 7.o with the most recent firmware update. It seems to periodically lose connection and thus cannot access the internet. I am able to ping each computer successfully with no packet loss and the modem says that an internet connection is established. The modem is brand new also. I have a 15mb connection through Mediacom.
Now , I have been doing a ton of research to alleviate this problem and it seems that my last suggestion to try is to enter a static DNS IP, subnet , gateway. Is this info that I can pull from the router or will I actually have to contact the cable company? I never had this problem with my BEFSR8! I am also up for other suggestions.
