WRT54G "a network cable is unplugged"

I've got a linksys that has developed a problem of the weekend. Ill be playing games online and watching a video or DLing files and the port ny desktop is plugged into begins to flash. About every 3 seconds I get "a network cable is unplugged" I have not added any new programs or installed any updates since the problem began. Thus far I have:

- power cycled the whole network
- updated the firm ware


My wireless works fine, thus the post. Just can't connect to any of the four ports. Any ideas what the problem could be?

Have you tried connecting another PC to rule out the a bad NIC vs a bad router?

Reset router back to defaults?

It could just be the router is on its way out, they aren't exactly known for being the best of quality routers
