Is there anyway i can stop this from happening besides moving it out of the room? Everytime my cell phone goes off by a phone call or text msg it interrupts my connection. Wired or wired less...it still goes off.

Who's your cell phone carrier? Curious what freq. they are using....

My Nextel wrecks all sorts of havoc when it rings...

When cell phone goes "on" and is in use? ;)

Turning cell phone "off" shouldn't kill it. :D

Have you tried changing channels on your wireless? Like 1 or 11?

i have tmobile.

it messes up even if its not in use. as long as an incoming call/text comes in it messes it up. i dont wanna turn the my phone off too. lol

how do you change channels?

The default config address for most routers is 192.168.1.1

Type that into your address bar and under wireless options it should be under Channel or something like that.

i see. thanks.

also would buying another router work? The router i have now is pretty old.

IIf its more than 4 years old.....i would def say its worth it.

Thats not really true. My WRT-54GL is pretty old but does the job just fine.

Did the changing the wireless channel help any?
