Writting protected disks

I don't know if this has been discussed, i did a search but to no avail. but i was wondering what program you guys have found that is the best to write protected dvd's. found a free DVD decrypter that works pretty good but you have to put it on your hard drive first and then burn it to DVD takes a pretty good while. i'm in no way trying to profit from doing this but people like to come borrow movies in my complex and i would rather them take the burned copy because more often than not they never make it back. plus it would be nice to have my collection backed up just in case. anyway thanks for the help in advance.

Technically: Backing up your DVD's is illegal due to the need to crack the encryption, even though you could argue that you are just exercising your fair rights.

Definately: Giving your neighbours copies of your DVD's IS ILLEGAL.

You better just just try what you got, or search on your own cuz everyone will jump on the legality of it over and over again. Personaly I'd bet many many do just as your trying to do, but they DO NOT talk about it in an open thread.
 
if you are looking for a program to backup your dvds so you can save the originals from being scratched, i suggest you check out dvdshrink.. its free too. :cool:
