I just got a 74gb Raptor 10k SATA to run just my Operating System.. I must say its pretty dman fast... and LOUD! LOL.. It's louder then my freakin 250gb HDD..
 
I cannot notice how loud my Raptor 150 is with my fans on. I cannot imagine there is any difference between the 74GB and 150GB models (as far as sound goes).
 
My 2 74GBers in RAID0 are not loud at all. It's defintely how they're mounted. Mine are mounted via silicon grommets in a P180B.
 
hmmm. I never thought raptors were loud :confused: lol probably cuz my last 6 drives were also raptors :p :D
