Any help on this issue would be gretaly appreciated.

Just want to start by saying I have updated drivers fresh ran the driver utility to get rid of any and all prior drivers everytime reinstalled the game and even did formats and reinstalls. Nothing works.

I'm getting this issue on 2 pc's (1 I put to gether 1 HP the wifes) and a Dell XPS m130 laptop. The only common thing all 3 units have is Nvidia cards and 1 gig of ram( varying ram makes between them)

My issue is terrain (the floor) disappears and FPS goes through the ceiling. Only fix seems to be restart WoW.

After doing research this seems to be a Nvidia specific issue. WoW support has no official response or fix and seem to be ignoring the issue hoping it will go away. I have tried every and any driver I can find. supported and non. Nothing helps.

So I come to th [H] where I know PC gurus and geniuses game. Can anyone help me solve this issue?

Specs are:
My PC: Home built
AMD 3200+
1 gig Kingston ram (nothing flashy)
ASUS XSV mb
6800 GT OC (not overclocked on my end by any means)

Wive's and laptop I cant think of atm but both use Nvidia cards.

Do you have any mods installed that are common to both systems?

There are a few potential fixes...adjusting terrain resolution is one, screen resolution is another, and others that have had this problem disabled their antivirus and the problem went away. Patch 2.4 seems to have changed something and lots of people are having issues like yours.

Yeah tried no addons from a fresh install and played with all settings. After a week of research I basically found WoW tech support knows of the issue but won't say anything on it. Whether it's being addressed or ignored.

I didn't think to try disabling the antivirus but worth a shot.

It seems to be a problem with rendering the base terrain, which is why changing terrain resolution seems to help with this.
