Im thinking about moving to Slackware this weekend. I dont have any thing going on and I think it will be a nice little project for me. Has any one played WoW with wine? How does it run? Im hopeing that I can get it up and running, and if I dont like how it runs I have a ghost image of my Computer so I can always restore.

Looks like it sorta works if you use opengl, I found a wiki article on how to get it working on gentoo.

Since you'll be on Slackware, I'm sure it will be about 100x more difficult than that article makes it sound. But hey, we don't use slackware because it's easy to use.

Well my project never got under way this weekend, Im gonna start working on it this week some time.
As for a version of linux that is pretty user friendly for "Newb" pardon the expression, Ubuntu is easy to install and pretty user friendly. I started with that and now that im some what comfortable im gonna make the jump to Slackware.
