Wow losing ground?

They'll still move very slow because they barely have any skill too, so it balances out :p

I suppose this is true, and also why I can't bring myself to play wow anymore :p I love the game, but I hate how Blizzard keeps lowering the bar and trying to makes *everything* accessible instead of producing different content for casuals and gamers.

It was sarcasm? No fucking way

Ok, let me explain. What I meant to say was that 180$ /year isn't squat compared to the cost of cigarettes and or alcohol per year. Wait that's exactly what I said.

I was refering to the message of the guy you replied to, not you.... how could you not get that.. there is no sarcasm in your post.

Well, i personally would never get in a fight with anything that is head level to "mr spug." Gives them a heck of an advantage, especially in generating "threat." :D Plus, think about the size modifiers, you just can't hit the little bitty things.

Boss: "hmmm, that little armored helmet is yelling something about my mother. Time to squish! Huh. Missed. This time for sure! Shoot, missed again. OW! @#%#$^&#$ LITTLE BASTERD CRITTED ME NUTS!" :D

Note: I know there is no size modifier to hit, but there SHOULD be... :p

hahaha thanks for giving me a good start on the day

So I got to thinking, wouldn't Blizzard be the first company to launch a successful MMO, run it through it's story line and shut it down? Hence the destroying of the older lands etc?

Secondly, is it possible existing races will be able to transform into the newer through a quest line? Human -> Worgen etc?

What do you all think?

UO and EQ are considered a success and others as well. Even AoC is profitable, thus can be considered successful. And Blizzard will shutdown WoW well after many others shutdown. I expect there to be a player base of sorts for the next 10+ years. (EQ is 10 years old and still has a player base.)

My guess is they will be providing that along with faction changes.

that will be offered through a paid service in the future, just like gender changes and faction changes. they will not enable it near the cataclysm launch however, because they don't want l80 worgen and gnomes running around on day one of cataclysm.

I believe that was hinted at. Either that or you start as a worgen, but dont transform or have the ability to control the transform until a certain level.

I agree, a quest chain to go from human to Worgen would rock.

Or if you could go from any human-like race to worgen.Yeah, thats the ticket.

I'm rather excited for the new content in the old areas. The problem with wow today is the challenge has largely been taken of the game. Original Sunwell is much different from TOC.

ah wow i remember beta testing the game and buying it first day it came out. i quit 6 months or so later. i tried to get back into it when burning crusade came out but it just seemed like the same ole stuff. i might get back into it one day for me ........it would be a whole new game with all the changes that have been made since i quit years ago.

I know you meant PornoSatans post was sarcasm but somehow I thought the rest was directed at me.

If you fucked up your quote then just say so. :p

I wouldn't be surprised if cataclysm enticed a lot of older, disenchanted WoW players who miss vanilla WoW. I'm pumped about heroic classic instances, thats the most exciting part of cataclysm Imo.

WoW will not be "losing ground" until it gets down to less than half of it's highest player base which was last year for the WoTLK release with 11 million subscribers.

So once WoW gets down to "only" 5.5 million players or less then it is "losing" ground. And I would think any game with "just" 5 million players would still be extremely excited about that amount.

I mean the #2 MMO in North America and Europe doesn't even have 1 million player base, so WoW will be around for a very very long time. I don't see it "ending" until the 6th expansion for Level cap of 100, and that will be released around 2016, giving WoW a lifetime of a 12 year run. I mean look at Ever Quest 1 from 1999, now ten years old and still has a base following.
