The game changes significantly at 60. EQ2 may be slightly more in-depth, but most people I've talked to have classified end game EQ2 as being incredibly boring. I know of quite a few people who switched to WoW from EQ2 after raiding in EQ2 for a while and said that raiding in WoW is significantly better.dwilson041781 said:im a level 28 hunter and with hunters u cant wear mail armor until lvl 40, and the missions available to me right now are a bit daunting, im in a clan but have yet to group with anyone, i guess i need to.
other day talk about being PISSED OFF, im on shattered hand PVP a level 22 rogue ganked me like 4 effing TIMES, a lvl 22 rogue killed a lvl 28hunter with pet. even if i got jump on him as far as sending pet to attack, then hitting with concussion, i have decent sword, but best i keep distance and hit with arcane, sting, and multi-shot, either way he literally hit me with Rend or whatever it is, then ran circles around me. boi was i frustrated.(or hitting with concussion, then send pet, then shooting sting, arcane etc.. guy jus seemed invincible.
im not sure if i will keep up with WOW, not sure how soon, but i plan on joining my bro on EQ2, it looked a bit better, and maybe more in-depth.only time will tell.
not sure if i should continue with my lvl5 night elf rogue or just make a paladin.
yup that's it!! can you believe 7 million ppl have played it, me included? its point is to live virtually and hide from RLroninblade said:Ok i installed it, played for about a hour just killing animals and getting copper and jerky, is that all you do???? Then you have no reason to be in this thread....other than to troll of course.Seanmounce said:Personally I've never played the game, nor do I ever plan to.

WoW is the easiest game I have ever played, took me a day to learn, and a few months to master. PvP is dictated by gear, PvE is dictated by common sense. To get gear, you must PvE. Therefore WoW is about common sense. Unfortunatly 90% of the people playing it possess no common sense.
I had a 60 rogue in a high end raiding guild, then I sold my account because the game was just BORING at 60, log in, raid 5 hours, log off frustrated because 15 people can't listen to directions, or lack the all important "common sense." Those two things are required in all the boss fights, that is it.
Back to his statement. It is true that WoW is incredibly easy, and it is also true that 90% of the players are plain awful, and play way too much, to suck so much.

1. play a healer
i was a druid. even with the best of the best, i didnt get to kill people very easily either. its not fun to outlast someone to death. although it was kinda funny with all the heal bitch gear on, have fun killing me when i have 2 hots ticking for 800-900 and unlimited manawhrswoldo said:How to bore your self to death:

I always had soooo much more fun killing things than I did healing them
It was always interesting trying to explain to my non-WOW playing friends how it was "fun" to wait around for an hour, passing the time by dancing and consuming various shape-shifting items, only to start a raid, click on the short health bars, and mash the 2/3/4 key for a few minutes until somebody fucked something up and caused me to die.
Killing people on the other hand... I don't think there was ever a time where I got tired of mind-controlling someone and forcing them to jump off a cliff or into some lava.
errmmm back on topic:
There are reasons that millions of people play WOW. It can be a lot of fun (especially if you are playing with friends!) and it is really easy to pick up. Just make sure that you are playing because you enjoy doing the quests, exploring alone or with your friends, competing with others, or perhaps because you actually role play. If you get sucked into the cycle of trying to obtain items and experience for the sake of increasing your personal power or standing, the game can turn into a total life vacuum.
Oh, and my best piece of advice: STAY AWAY from the forums and from sites such as thottbot and alakazam, trust me!

depends of the matchup. very much so.Macca said:I'd have to disagree with your statement. Gear doesn't dictate PVP, if you got brains and know how to play your char you can beat that person in rank 14 gear. Seen it happen so much, brains > gear. But gear does help.
Calis said:The game begins at 60, if you don't enjoy it then you probably didn't roll the right class for you. (My opinion anyway)
If you were in a high end raiding guild then why were you only doing zg and aq20? 20 Mans much? High end guilds focus on the likes of AQ40, BWL (mostly just for gear, not for progress) and Naxx
When you get to 60 it's really about occupying yourself. Go pvp, go get some gear, do whatever you want. Level your professions if you like, make money for your epic mount, there literally is so many options, but it comes down to having a character you enjoy playing.
