If you had unlimited funding, and your current system was:
An Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600.
SLI 8800GTX's.
2 GB of DDR2-800.
680i SLI motherboard.

The waterblocks would be:
CPU - D-Tek Fuzion (Unless better is known, tell me.)
GPU - Two EK Full Cover blocks.
Chipset - Danger Den northbridge, Swiftech southbridge.

Would you run three loops?
One for the CPU.
One for the GPUs.
One for the chipsets.

Would you run 1 loop with dual radiators?

The radiators are going to be triple 120mm radiators.
The pumps are going to MCP655 (unless someone wants to recommended another one that doesn't dump a lot of heat into the loop. I would be triple looping in the first place to have the coolest results.)

I know triple looping is probably un-necessary, but, money/noise isn't a problem, and if I am going to be building a monster system, I want to just get the best possible, and get it over with. :)

Get a mountain Mods U2-UFO Dualality, and yes run tripple loops, get 3 DDC-2s with Petras tops on them and run a PA120.3 for GPU, PA120.3 for CPU and PA120.2 on the chipsets. (have MM change the rear fan holes to accept the thermochill on the back.

Ranker has a very very very simialr setup just go check his sig on the forum :D

It is a case. ROFL. A very big one.

I knew how expensive the 120.3's were, but if I am going to be building matching systems, one for me and one for my friend, I am not going to be spending 500 dollars on just radiators. They are also optimized fans up to 130 cfm.

I am not going to be using my 112 CFM fans. I am going to be using Yate Loons, because I am going to have 9 of them running. I don't mind noise, by 61 dBA from just fans would be, uhh, a problem.

I am going to stick with my Cooler-Master stacker. I can easily fit 3 triple radiators in it without any modding.

I'm assuming you mean that you want to purchase three 120 (or single) radiators for each computer. Such as the Swiftech MCR120 QP or the Thermochill PA120.1.

There's going to be a slight problem as a quadcore is going to max out a single 120 radiator. I don't even think a Thermochill PA120.1 can handle it, especially with an overclock. This applies even more to a SLI 8800GTX loop as well. There's really no way you're going to be able to optimally cool both with just a single 120mm rad in each loop. I'd suggest getting a PA120.2 for your CPU/Chipset and a matching one for your SLI 8800GTX, if not a PA120.3 for it. You're better off with two loops. I can barely fit 3 loops in a U2-UFO...It'd be near impossible if not a pain in the ass to fit 3 loops in a Stacker.

Your components look great, however I'd switch out the Fuzion for the GTX. GTX is better for quadcores.

Are you sure the triple loop is going to be a problem?
I am going to put the 3 loops on the bottom next to each other, and the triple radiators are going to go directly in front of each other. They are going to be like stairs.
One at the highest point, then the tubing will come form that one, then the next one right below that one, then enough room for tubing clearance, then the one under that.

We are also ordering Dell 30" monitors.
That is why we are SLIing 8800GTX's.
My friend said that price was pocket change. Nothing.
So, we are going to update in November to whatever nVIDIA releases.

I am NO fan of the 680i SLI, but I need those two PCI-E 16x slots, that both function at 16x.
I wish Intel P35 would support SLI and not crossfire, but hey, what are you going to do?

My friend already has the motherboard, and a GTX.
And we both already have 1 radiator.
And he already has 1 EK FC-8800GTX poly block.
And I already have 1 T-Line.

We are going to order July 22nd, when the Core 2 Quad's drop down to 325.

Nice build but I really dont' want to piss on your parade but I'd really doubt you can fit 3 loops internally especially with three 3x120mm radiators. But if you can, more power to ya. I'd love to see the end result.

I am thinking, and I will actually take pictures if you would like, it is going to go like this.

My current radiator is in the 11 5.25" drive bays I have. I can EASILY, put 2 more directly in front of it.

Would that not work?

Where you see all the drive bays, and the black and white, that is where my radiator is.

What changed is, my case is MUCH more organized, I moved the radiator back, the wires are fixed up, my GPU is now on water, that motherboard is dead, and I put the mesh back in front. :)
 
hey, for a mobo mabey check out he asus P5N32-e SLI Plus, it has 3 PCI-E slots, two of them at 16x and its a 650i chipset.

I can only see a rad mounted up top and a rad in front. For your third one, you'd have to go external. I just don't see an internal 3 rad/3 loop build happening all internally.

I am not going to buy that ENORMOUS box of a case. ROFL. Sorry. That just isn't my style.

That is what I did intend.

OUTER MESH | RADIATOR 1 | RADIATOR 2 | RADITOR 3 | Motherboard area and such.

They would all go in the drive bay area.

I see MANY possibilities of ways of doing it.

I am thinking of doing it like this.
My current radiator is just hanging. It is zip tied from the wholes of the drive bay.

That will Not work. You have to have fresh cool air moving through each radiator...

You remember how well your radiator worked when it was drawing air through the side of the case... And how much of a drop you experienced when you moved it to the way I suggested...

One on top, one in the front, and a single BIP at the back for the chipset... The only way to do it in that case IMO.

Should be a crazy fun mod.
But... I think I am going to go measure how much space I have between the back and the graphics card. Be right back.

Yeah I think a dual loop would treat you much better in that case. I've personally thought about a dual loop for my next upgrade, I would put put my cpu and gpu on the dual rad with 1/2in tubing, then an aux loop with a single 120 and smaller diameter tubing to cool NB and RAM if I get some of that sweet OCZ DDR2. I agree with everyone else with putting 3 stacked triples in the front just won't work man, sorry, you'll be heating up the other 2 with the same air. Plus running 3 sets of tubing would make it pretty disgusting to work on later since you would have them all packed into the stacker. My 2 cents.

When I water cooled my 8800GTS, it rose my CPU temp by ~5c-6c.

I just want it all to be seperate.

I got it all worked out.

A triple on top, a triple in front, a double in back.

I'll work out the mess. :p

also someone should point out that you can add all the radiators you want and not make your system any better, actualy the only thing your doing is adding restriction to the loop(s) if your not creating more heat you dont need more radiators.

heat produced by the SLI setup is taken care of by a pa120.2 or 120.3. the quad core cpu would use another 120.2, the northbridge adds such a small amount of heat to the water whatever radiator that will cover the rest of the system will cover that too, and the southbridge can be cooled by a gentle breeze from an open window but if you must liquid cool then you might as well go balls to the wall.
but even still, your only going to be utilizing two tripple 120mm rads at most. the third is completely useless, especialy if you have three feeding hot air into each other.

what i would do is use two loops and 2 or 3 pumps. get one large resevior as a central point in the system with 4 or 6 barbs on it. heres how to set it up:
loop1: res> single pump> radiator(s) >res (no blocks on this loop, only for cooling water)
loop2: res> pump(s) > CPU> GPU> GPU>res

now you have a choice, you can either add the NB/SB blocks to the end of loop2, but the increased pressure might need another pump. or you could take that third pump, put the two GFX blocks on their own third loop, and put the NB/SB with the CPU. this way you dont need a radiator for every loop, and this makes removal or changes of blocks easier because the radiator is usualy the hardest thing to drain/fill. its in its own loop and doesnt have to be touched.
 
Radiators give off as much heat as they're fed.

A radiator hooked up to an 8800GTX SLI setup will dump about 400w of heat...
 
Agreed. You're better off with just two PA120.3's or two MCR-320's. Three loops is overkill as the chipset won't give off that much heat to consume its own radiator. This is coming from an efficiency point of view.

However, if you just like knowing you have the most overkill/badass setup possible (and i'll admit I suffer from such a syndrome) then by all means go for it.

Your quadcore will dump about 250W without an overclock. You'll get maybe 100W (and that's a conservative overestimate) from your chipset (680i's get hot on both chips). You're SLI GTX is approximately 400W as Arcy pointed out.

The quadcore TDP (Q6600) is 125-130w provided their documents are correct... (linky)This isn't the TRUE TDP, as intel's defintion of "TDP" != the industry standard's (well, actually, I guess the industry standards IS Intel's, but yknow) so I could see it hitting 150 with a full 400% load.

A GTX at stock voltage will hit 177w heat output at it's maximum overclock... Increasing drastically after a Vmod (up to 250w).

The 680i NB dumps about 25w and the SB dumps around 7... I'm looking for the source on this as we speak.
 
A GTX480 rad would give you acceptable temps with a single loop. I'm not sure if it would fit in the stacker though. Not as good of temps as a dual loop but it would simplify the build and make your routing nice and clean.
